Paddle Steamer Waverley

The magnificent Waverley - the last sea-going Paddle Steamer in the world - sails on day trips afternoon & evening cruises from many areas in Britain, every spring, summer and autumn.
Waverley was built in 1947 for the London & North Eastern Railway and in 2000/2001 was magnificently restored to as-new condition.  On board you can see spectacular triple expansion steam engines & paddle wheels in operation.
Balmoral was built in 1949 for Red Funnel Steamers of Southampton in classic 1930's style and will not be sailing in 2013 but will be based at Bristol .
The ships are owned by a charity, supported by the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society & sail every year on the Clyde, Bristol Channel, Solent, Thames, North West England, North Wales & Isle of Man.
Both ships have beautifully restored lounges, bars & full self-service restaurants.
